A Club to Appreciate Art

Hello everyone,
This is a new club in the works. We hope to build a community of artists dedicated to improving deviantart and art itself through learning and encouraging critiques.
Critiques are not just about flaming people or picking up every 'bad' point but rather about seeing the art in its entirety:- what is good about it, what is bad, what captivated you, what could be improved?
Critiquing is an art in itself, it enables the artist and the person making the point to see how a piece is valued. For the artist it is about self improvement, and for the commentor to see the skills and effort that went into a piece of art.
For the deviant community hopefully it would also improve the quality of art and the reduction of art theft*

* this is a dire problem on dA that often slips through admin cracks and frustrate alot of artists. By improving the general ability of deviants to critique and support one another, we hope to discourage people from merely lifting off images and passing as their own and instead to improve their own artistic merit.


To Join:- Send a note to this account stating 'Join' in the title. Please include your Deviantname, and area of specialisation (e.g. what type of art) and please +devwatch this account. Any type of artists are accepted. Invites will also be going out shortly.

To Support:- Accepting affiliates and anyone who wish to subscribe this account, much appreciated. Anyone wishing to advertise this club on their journal and signatures, much appreciated. Introduce your friends and favourite artists, everyone can benefit .

Contest:- We are holding a contest for the Avatar and Profile Picture for this Account. It has to match and contain the words Eloquent Art somewhere. Winner gets full credit and a journal feature. All types of art accepted, please send your entries via note to this account with the title 'Avatar and Profile Contest'

Admins:- looking for a few people to manage this club similar to how dA manages different categories of art. Requirement: you have to have been on dA for atleast 6 months and specialising or have adequate knowledge of the category you're applying for. Just send a note to EloquentArt. We'll contact you if successful. Your duties involve participating in EloquentArt and helping deviants with questions and critiques etc.
